Choco Munchies


2 c raw pumpkin seeds
 (perhaps create a seed combo such as sesame and/or sunflower)

1 c good quality dark chocolate chopped (Whole Foods 365 70% Chocolate Chunks)

parchment paper


·        bake seeds for 5-10 minutes on a baking sheet at 300 degrees until lightly toasted

·        while pumpkin seeds are toasting place chocolate in a mixing bowl

·        add hot toasted seeds to chocolate & stir

·        spread mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet & freeze until hard

·        break into pieces & serve



add any combo of the following ingredients to the dark chocolate before adding the hot seeds:

do not exceed ¼ c of additional ingredients

·        cinnamon or other spices

·        organic driedfruit

·        your favorite nuts, chopped

·        unsweetened shredded coconut

·        pumpkin seeds are a very good source of the minerals magnesium, manganese & phosphorus & a good source of iron, copper, protein & zinc

·        dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants

·        dark chocolate has 65% or higher cocoa content with no milk added
