Choco Munchies

Ingredients

  • 2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
 perhaps create a seed combo such as sesame and/or sunflower
  • 1 cup good quality dark chocolate chopped Whole Foods 365 70% Chocolate Chunks
  • parchment paper

Instructions

  • Bake seeds for 5-10 minutes on a baking sheet at 300 degrees until lightly toasted
  • While pumpkin seeds are toasting place chocolate in a mixing bowl
  • Add hot toasted seeds to chocolate & stir
  • Spread mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet & freeze until hard
  • Break into pieces & serve

Variations

  • Add any combo of the following ingredients to the dark chocolate before adding the hot seeds:
  • Do not exceed ¼ c of additional ingredients
  • Cinnamon or other spices
  • Organic dried fruit
  • Your favorite nuts, chopped
  • Unsweetened shredded coconut

Notes

Facts for seeds & chocolate

  • Pumpkin seeds are a very good source of the minerals magnesium, manganese & phosphorus & a good source of iron, copper, protein & zinc
  • Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants
  • Dark chocolate has 65% or higher cocoa content with no milk added
