why live when you can thrive

How Thriving Is Like Driving

Over the past year I found myself doing a lot more driving than usual. College trips around the Northeast, treks into NYC and Thrive Naturally workshops all required a full tank of gas, patience and split-second decision making skills.

What if we approached our health and wellness goals the same way we would prepare for a seat behind the wheel?
Fill-it-up with premium fuel: energize yourself for the long road ahead

Drink more water and less of whatever else you drink
Replace processed foods for real foods that don’t need ingredient list
Cut down on sugar, aim for less than 40g/day (4g = 1tsp)

Have a road map: we can't get there if we don't know where we are going so set goals and take action each day to stay on track

Write down your goals, they are more likely to become reality
Be as specific as possible I will lose 5lbs by March 4th by eating less sugar
Use a calendar to block out time to reach your goals

Keep calm amid the traffic jams: you are going to experience obstacles on your journey but be consistent and persistent, you WILL reach your destination

What you think about your bring about, so keep your thought positive
Practice gratitude to enhance mood and bust stress

Don't over-think, just do it: avoid hazards by making smart decisions that align with your goals to steer clear of crashes

Remember what you know! Allow wellness to become intuitive
The book, Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins inspires action

Find a co-pilot: ask for support and accountability

We are as successful as the 5 people we spend the most time with
Are those 5 people helping or hurting your chances of success
